General Maintenance 

Regular Dusting – Wipe with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid excessive moisture. 

Mild Cleaning – Use a damp cloth with mild soap and water to clean the natural teak surface. Dry immediately to prevent moisture absorption. 

Avoid Harsh Chemicals – Do not use bleach, ammonia, or strong cleaners, as they can damage the wood. 

Protecting the Natural Teak Surface (Top & Bottom) 

Oiling (Optional) – If you want to enhance the wood’s richness and protect it, apply a thin layer of teak oil every few months. Let it absorb fully and wipe off excess. This is optional, as teak naturally resists drying and cracking. 

Prevent Stains – Use coasters or felt pads if placing items on the stool, as natural teak is porous and can absorb liquids. Wipe spills immediately. 

Minimize Exposure to Direct Sunlight – Prolonged exposure can cause natural teak to lighten over time. If placed in a sunny area, occasional rotation can help even out the aging process. 

Caring for the Painted Sides 

Gentle Cleaning – Wipe the painted areas with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that could damage the paint. 

Touch-Ups – If the paint chips, lightly sand the affected area and reapply matching paint for a seamless look. 

Outdoor Use Considerations 

If the stool is used outdoors, it will naturally weather over time, turning a silver-gray patina. This is normal for teak, but if you prefer to maintain its original look, store it in a covered space when not in use. 

Avoid placing it directly on damp surfaces for extended periods to prevent moisture absorption from the ground.
